    Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed sadness over the suicide of Geetanjali, a woman from Tenali. She took her own life after being harassed online by leaders from the TDP and Jana Sena Party. Geetanjali had recently been allotted a house in Jagananna Colony, and her interview had gone viral.

    YS Jagan extended his condolences to Geetanjali’s family and instructed officials to provide immediate support to them. He approved a Rs 20 lakh ex-gratia amount to assist the family during this difficult time.

    The Chief Minister stated that strict action would be taken against those responsible for violating the dignity of women. He ordered officials to take strong measures against social media users who made inappropriate comments on Geetanjali’s interview on YouTube.

    Geetanjali’s family filed a police complaint, alleging that she committed suicide due to harassment and online abuse.
