Hyderabad: The 2nd International Conference of the World Telugu Samiti, called the “World Telugu Consortium,” was held online on Sunday. The event attracted a lot of attention and saw active participation from celebrities, scholars, and speakers from seven countries, including India, the United States, and New Zealand.
The two-day event was organized by the World Telugu Samiti and led by its founder member, Lalitha Ram. Its main goal was to promote Telugu literature and Indian culture on a global scale. Around 3,000 people from all over the world attended the conference.
Vanguri Chitten Raju, the chief guest, spoke about the timeless value of Indian tradition and literature. Dr. Vamsi Rama Raju highlighted the importance of spreading Telugu language activities through global meetings and publications.
Prominent writer Bhuvanchandra also joined the conference, which was organized by Srihavisha and Radhika Mangipudi, along with writer Shamir Janaki Devi. The discussions covered topics such as Indian mythology, spirituality, and epic literature, including the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, and classic works like AbhijnanaSakunthalam and AmuktaMalyada.
Lalitha Ram expressed her pride in the event, saying, “The conference has wonderfully showcased the richness of Indian culture and Telugu literature, and we look forward to furthering our mission globally.”
