What happened to the promises made to Bhadrachalam?

The government has neglected Bhadrachalam, a temple town, for the past ten years. They did not spend any money on development in the area and did not provide funds promised to flood victims. The government also did not fulfill their promise of providing funds for the development of the Rama temple. As a result, residents are not interested in participating in the upcoming celebrations for “Dashabdi Utsavalu.”

The people of Bhadrachalam have been looking for significant development under the new Telangana state but have not seen any progress. They are suffering because there is no dumping facility in the town, and despite requesting help from officers, they could not find a place to establish a unit.

Residents directly confronted the government, asking about the promised funding for the development of the Bhadrachalam temple and why there was no temple development under the Telangana government. The government did not contribute any money to the temple’s development, despite having promised 100 crore.

In addition, CM KCR announced 1,000 crore funding for flood assistance in July of last year but has yet to fulfill this promise. The government is also taking no interest in getting back the five Panchyats that have been merged into Andhra Pradesh.

According to T V Ramana Rao, a senior citizen of Bhadrachalam, the government has been ignoring Bhadrachalam and Bhadrachalam agency for ten years. No money has been given by the government for various development projects, and there is no dumping yard for the temple town residents. People in Bhadrachalam are unhappy and are requesting that the authorities protect Lord Rama’s 900 acres of land and sanction the funds promised by CM KCR.
