On Thursday, the District Collector, accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Maruthi Prasad, participated in ward meetings held in wards 17 and 18 of Mancherial Municipality. He stated that under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, houses will be sanctioned to homeless individuals who meet the eligibility criteria. Applications from the public will be reviewed thoroughly, and eligible candidates will be identified based on government guidelines.

The Collector encouraged those whose names are not currently on the list of eligible beneficiaries to submit their applications. He assured that applications will be reviewed in accordance with government rules, and necessary steps will be taken to include deserving individuals. He also mentioned that people could apply at Mandal Praja Parishad offices, Praja Palana Seva Kendras, and Gram Sabhas. The administration is committed to ensuring food security and providing ration cards to every eligible family through a continuous application process.

Regarding other schemes, Kumar Deepak clarified that the Rythu Bharosa scheme will strictly apply to agricultural land. Lands such as non-agricultural rocks, colonies, house ventures, layouts, and government-acquired property will be excluded. He also discussed the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme, which aims to support poor laborers, agricultural workers, and families who have worked for at least 20 days under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). Eligible beneficiaries will be identified and assisted under this program.

The Collector added that Gram Sabhas in rural areas and Ward Sabhas in municipalities will continue until January 24. During these meetings, the list of eligible candidates will be read out, and applications from those not on the list will be accepted. Residents will be informed in advance about the meetings to ensure transparency and wider participation.
