The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Director, Dana Kishore, and other senior officers went to inspect the Fatehnagar Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). This STP is part of a project to build 31 new STPs in Greater Hyderabad. The project will cost Rs 3,866.41 crore and will help ensure that all sewage in the city is treated.

Dana Kishore said that the Fatehnagar plant is 80 percent finished. The Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), Chlorine Contact Tanks (CCTs), and civil works are complete. The machinery is now being installed, and the Blower room and other parts are in the final stages of construction. If needed, more workers will be hired to finish the work faster.
