Hyderabad Water Board Officials Inspect Filling Stations

Ashok Kumar, the Managing Director of Hyderabad Water Board, visited a filling station in Madhapur on Sunday. He was accompanied by senior officers for an inspection.

During the visit, the staff informed him that around 600 water tanker trips are being delivered daily. They also mentioned that 80% of bookings are completed within 6-12 hours, while the remaining 20% are delivered within 24 hours. The Madhapur filling station has six filling points and 80 tankers.

Ashok Kumar advised officials to be prepared for the summer water demand. He instructed them to deliver tankers as quickly as possible after bookings. He also suggested adding more tankers and staff if needed. He assured officials that any necessary improvements should be proposed and would be approved.

Later, Water Board Executive Director Mayank Mittal inspected other filling stations in Shapurnagar, Moulali, and Yellareddy Guda. He checked the tanker booking status, the number of tankers booked per day, and delivery details. He also spoke to the in-charges of these stations to understand their operations.

During the inspection, officials discovered that maintenance work by the TGNPDCL department in the Masid Banda section had caused a power outage. This power cut affected the filling stations in that area, temporarily stopping water supply through tankers. However, water was still being supplied through a single gravity-driven filling station.
