The in-charge Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, has directed that development projects in Warangal city be taken up urgently. He emphasized the need for swift action during a review meeting held at the Secretariat in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Warangal district minister Konda Surekha and the Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor, Vem Narender Reddy, among other officials. Discussions focused on key projects such as the Inner Ring Road (IRR), Outer Ring Road (ORR), Bhadrakali Lake development, and the airport project. The minister highlighted the government’s special focus on Warangal and stressed the importance of completing these works within the given timelines.

Ponguleti recalled the assurances made by the Chief Minister during his recent visit to Warangal district. He urged officials to align the city’s development with the aspirations of the people and prioritize government-driven initiatives. He also emphasized the importance of preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) for all proposed projects without delay.

The minister gave specific instructions regarding the ring roads, asking officials to ensure they are connected to national highways. He also called for land acquisition for these projects to be expedited. Additionally, he ordered the swift completion of land acquisition for the airport and stressed the need to implement the Bhadrakali Lake purification project without delay.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Municipal Administration secretary Dana Kishore, Special Principal Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Municipal Administration Director Sridevi, and Mining Secretary Surendra Mohan. District Collectors of Warangal and Hanamkonda, Dr. Satya Sharada and P. Praveenya, along with representatives from various departments, were also present to discuss the projects.
