The municipal staff in Warangal city is on high alert as heavy rain continues for the third day. Many areas in Warangal-Hanumakonda-Kazipet have been flooded, and residents are trying to remove the water from their homes. The floodwater has also affected low-lying areas under the GWMC limits. The GWMC commissioner has ordered the demolition of encroachments in Waddepally to ensure the free flow of floodwater. Hanumakonda has received heavy rainfall in the past few days, as well as Warangal.

The Mulugu District Collector has warned residents in Kannaigudem, Wazeedu, and Venkatapuram mandals to be cautious as more rain is expected in the next three days. She inspected the Sammakka barrage and directed officials to set up rehabilitation centers and keep the National Disaster Response Force on standby. However, she assured the media that there is no immediate threat of floods.

Visitors to Bogatha waterfalls were denied entry due to overflowing of Cheekupally stream. The collector also inspected the Peruru high-level bridge across River Godavari, which has seen a rise in water level. Four gates of the Palem vagu project were opened, releasing a significant amount of water. Residents of nearby villages have been advised to be on high alert. The road between Garla and Rampur has been cut off due to overflowing of Pakala stream.
