Wanaparthy collector assesses welfare schemes survey

District Collector Adarsh Surabhi held an important meeting with mandal-level officials at the Kothakota Municipality office on Sunday. The meeting focused on a survey to identify farmers eligible for various government welfare programs.

The Collector stressed the need to quickly identify agricultural lands, residential layouts, and lands converted for non-agricultural uses. This would ensure that genuine farmers receive the benefits they are entitled to. Following the meeting, Collector Surabhi, along with the Tahsildar, Municipal Commissioner, and agricultural officials, conducted a field inspection in the Dandugadda area to assess the condition of agricultural lands firsthand.

During the meeting, the Collector highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting authentic farmers. He urged officials to speed up the land identification process and to use revenue survey data to pinpoint lands that are no longer suitable for farming. He also called for better cooperation between the Tahsildar, agricultural officers, and the Municipal Commissioner in distinguishing agricultural land from non-agricultural areas.

In addition to addressing agricultural concerns, the Collector discussed the ongoing Indiramma housing survey. He instructed officials to carefully verify the list of beneficiaries to ensure that only eligible tenants and genuine recipients are included.

The meeting was attended by Special Officer and ZP Deputy CEO Ramamaheshwar, Tahsildar Venkatesh, MPDO Chennamma, the Municipal Commissioner, agricultural officers, and other staff. All attendees pledged their commitment to working toward the welfare of farmers in the district.
