The District Superintendent of Police (SP), T. Srinivas Rao, IPS, highlighted the importance of voting as a powerful tool in a democracy. He reminded citizens that every eligible individual has a responsibility to exercise their right to vote.
The SP led officials and staff in taking a pledge at the District Police Office to mark National Voters’ Day. He used the occasion to encourage citizens who have turned 18 to register as voters and actively participate in elections.
He emphasized that voting is not just a right but a way to uphold the Constitution and inspire future generations. He urged everyone to spread awareness about the significance of voting, especially in India, which has the world’s largest written Constitution.
The SP also called on citizens to educate others about the value of their votes. He encouraged efforts to ensure every eligible individual registers as a voter and understands their responsibility in shaping the nation’s democracy.
The event was attended by DSP Y. Mogilayya, Armed Forces DSP Narender Rao, A.O. Satish Kumar, SB Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, RIs Venkatesh and Harif, alongside other administrative officers and staff.
