Mamillapalli Vishnuvardhan Reddy from Wanaparthy has been unanimously elected as the new chairman of the Mahbubnagar District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB). The election took place on Friday under the supervision of election management officer Titus Paul. After the election, Vishnuvardhan Reddy was formally handed his appointment letter.
The election event was attended by important political figures and bank directors from various districts in the Palamuru region. They all congratulated Vishnuvardhan Reddy on his new role as chairman.
In his acceptance speech, Vishnuvardhan Reddy promised to focus on the development of the bank, particularly aiming to improve the welfare of farmers. He also assured that the bank would make significant progress with the cooperation of all stakeholders.
Before the election, there were concerns about tough competition from existing directors, most of whom were from the BRS party. However, the Congress party successfully managed to secure the position for Vishnuvardhan Reddy. He is a senior leader from the Kollapur constituency and had previously contested for the position of MLA twice but was unsuccessful. Now, he has been unanimously elected as the DCCB chairman.
