In a heartwarming gesture, he interacted with and signed autographs for the ground staff at the MA Chidambaram stadium, also known as Chepauk. The staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that the IPL matches are held in the best possible playing conditions. CSK uploaded a video of the interaction, which has since gone viral on social media.
CSK reached their record 10th IPL final by defeating defending champions Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 at the Chepauk. This will be Dhoni’s 11th IPL final, both as a player and as a captain. There are rumours that he may retire after the final, which will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium on Sunday.
