Vinod Kumar highlights rapid growth witnessed under CM KCR in the state

Telangana has seen significant growth under CM KCR’s leadership, according to B Vinod Kumar, Vice President of the State Planning Commission. He addressed the public and unfurled the national flag at the Telangana National Integration Day. During a media interaction, he discussed why national unity celebrations are organized by the government. He highlighted the development in Rajanna Sircilla district under Minister K Taraka Rama Rao’s guidance.

Kumar explained that the state government organized National Integration Day to commemorate Hyderabad state’s merger with the Indian union. He mentioned that Hyderabad State was part of non-British India when present-day India was known as British India.

He noted that September 17, 1948, is celebrated as the day of liberation, merger, and sedition by some people with different perspectives. The government celebrates Telangana becoming part of India and declares it as National Unity Day.

Kumar mentioned that the Constitution refers to India as Bharat in both English and Hindi versions. He emphasized that calling India only by the name Bharat goes against the spirit of federalism since the country is composed of different states. He also disagreed with the ideas of one country – one election, one country – one language, and presidential style of governance in a diverse country like India.

Kumar clarified that the Constitution binds together the diverse subcontinent of India, which encompasses different geographical conditions, languages, and traditions.

Various local officials and social activists participated in the national unity celebrations, including District Praja Parishad Chairperson Nyalakonda Aruna Raghava Reddy, Rashtra Power Loom Textile Development Corporation Chairman Guduri Praveen, Tescob Chairman Konduri Ravinder, Cess Chairman Chikkala Rama Rao, Municipal Chairperson Jindam Kala Chakrapani, and social activist Chinthojubashker.
