Vinod claims Rythu Bandhu funds diverted in Karimnagar

Former MP Boinapally Vinod Kumar attended a meeting of senior BRS leaders in Manakondur constituency on Monday. During the meeting, he accused the State government of diverting the Rythu Bandhu fund meant for farmers to pay government staff salaries. Vinod Kumar claimed that before the Assembly elections, Rs 7,700 crore was allocated for Rythu Bandhu beneficiaries, but Revanth Reddy used the money for paying government employees. He demanded clarification from the government regarding the payment of salaries and whether the bills were paid to someone else.

Vinod Kumar warned that if the guarantees promised by the Congress government are not fulfilled, the people of Telangana will protest. He praised former chief minister KCR for leading the development of Telangana in ten years. He pointed out that during the 60 years of Congress rule, there were dry lands throughout Telangana. However, within three and a half years of the formation of Telangana and KCR becoming the CM, the Kaleshwaram project was completed, providing irrigation to lakhs of acres of land.
