The Congress party in Warangal is being accused of making vague allegations against the previous government instead of focusing on fulfilling their election promises. D Vinay Bhaskar, the district president and former chief whip, criticized the Congress leaders, particularly Endowments Minister Konda Surekha. Vinay pointed out that the old Warangal Central Prison was in a bad condition, so the current government demolished it and started building a new multi-super-specialty hospital on that land. He believes it is unfair for Konda Surekha to criticize the government’s efforts to improve healthcare facilities.
Vinay explained that the upcoming multi-super-specialty hospital will be top-notch and will serve the healthcare needs of both locals and patients from neighboring districts. He also mentioned that the MGM Hospital is now well-equipped compared to its state during the Congress regime from 2004 to 2014. Vinay praised the BRS government for establishing medical and nursing colleges in all districts, which brought a revolutionary change in the healthcare system.
While Vinay welcomed the government’s decision to provide free bus travel for women in RTC buses, he expressed concern for auto-rickshaw drivers whose livelihoods have been affected by this scheme. He urged the government to address the problems faced by these drivers. The press conference was attended by GWMC Corporators Vemula Srinivas, Soda Kiran, Puli Rajanikanth, and Siddoju Ramesh, among others.
