The festival’s main event is breaking an arch with bulls, symbolizing strength and agricultural prosperity. The arch, made of mango trees, is set up near the village tavern. People of all ages come together to witness this joyous moment, highlighting the strong bond between farmers and their land.

ZP Chairperson Sarita Thirupathaiah and other local leaders attended the bull procession in BC Colony. The procession was led by various councilors and municipal chairman B.S. Keshav. Farmers enthusiastically participated, showing their happiness by joining in the parade. Sarita emphasized the significance of celebrating Eru Vaka full moon, not just in rural areas but also in towns.

The festival of Eruvaka Pournami is a time for joy and prosperity for all who take part in it. Sarita Thirupathaiah expressed her happiness in celebrating this occasion and stressed the importance of spreading these festivities beyond rural areas to towns and cities. She mentioned that farmers seek blessings for prosperity during this time.

The event saw the participation of several Congress Party councilors and former councilors, along with other local leaders. Everyone came together to celebrate and honor the traditions of Eru Vaka full moon festival.
