A festival was held in Choulapalli village during the Telangana State’s decennial formation day celebrations. The festival was called the ‘Pond Festival’ and it was a way to recognize Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s hard work in restoring village ponds. The Shadnagar MLA, Anjaiah Yadav, was the event’s chief guest and he spoke about the importance of ponds. He praised the Chief Minister’s dedication and commitment to restoring ponds and compared his actions to a mother’s nurturing care.
Ponds are essential for both rural and urban communities as they are invaluable resources for people and farmers. The government has taken comprehensive measures to restore ponds, stabilize canals, and construct check dams. These initiatives have ensured that the ponds remain replenished with water, providing reliable sources for irrigation and meeting the agricultural needs of the farming community.
The MLA expressed hope that the government would continue its commitment to the welfare of ponds, ensuring their sustainable maintenance and preservation for future generations. The event was attended by BRS leaders, activists, and other dignitaries.
