The Congress Party has appointed a State Campaign and Planning Committee for the Telangana Assembly Elections. The committee consists of 15 members, and Vijayashanti, who recently joined the party, has been given the role of chief coordinator. Other members of the committee include Samarasimha Reddy, Pushpalila, Mallu Ravi, Kodanda Reddy, Narendra Reddy, Yarapati Anil, Ramulu Naik, Pitla Nageswara Rao, Obedullah Kotwal, Ramesh, Parijatha Reddy, Siddeshwar, Rammurthy Naik, Ali Bin Ibrahim, and Deepak Janan. They have been appointed as conveners.
The appointments have been approved by Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge. It is worth noting that Vijayshanthi resigned from the BJP and joined Congress on Friday in the presence of Kharge.
In other news, the Congress party has released its election manifesto for Telangana. The manifesto includes benefits for various sections of society, in addition to the six guarantees announced on September 17. The party has made specific declarations for farmers, youth, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, and minorities.
