Hyderabad: Victor Rackets, the second-largest badminton brand in the world, has opened its first Experience Centre in India. This new store is located in Kondapur, Hyderabad. Victor Rackets was founded in 1968 in Taipei, Taiwan, and has a strong global presence.
The Victor Experience Centre offers a unique shopping experience with a full badminton court inside the store. This allows customers to try out equipment before making a purchase. The launch event was attended by badminton Olympians Ashwini Ponnappa and HS Prannoy, alongside actress Regina Cassandra, who is also a badminton enthusiast.
Several prominent figures also graced the event, including A.P. Jithender Reddy, a former Member of Parliament and current Advisor to the Telangana Government for Sports Affairs, and K. Shiva Sena Reddy, Chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS).
Victor Rackets already has branches in countries like Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and China. With this Experience Centre, the brand is re-entering the Indian market, offering a full range of badminton products, including rackets, shoes, shuttlecocks, strings, and apparel.
Victor’s General Manager for India, Mr. Ben Hsiung, expressed excitement about this launch, noting that the store focuses on customer experience. He emphasized that the Experience Centre allows customers to try products before deciding to purchase them.
Both Ashwini Ponnappa and HS Prannoy, who are sponsored by Victor, shared their thoughts on the new store. Ashwini appreciated that the Experience Centre lets customers test different badminton gear to find what suits them best. Prannoy highlighted that selecting the right equipment based on personal comfort and playing style is key, and Victor’s limited-edition products are especially appealing.
Arjun Reddy, a former professional badminton player and current owner of A-Zone Academies in Hyderabad, is partnering with Victor in this new venture.
The Victor Experience Centre is open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, offering a convenient location for badminton enthusiasts to explore and test their equipment.
