TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar has been elected as the new chairman of ASRTU, a central public sector undertaking. Sajjanar was unanimously elected at the 54th General Body Meeting of ASRTU held in New Delhi. He will serve in this position for one year. TSRTC Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) Raghunatha Rao has also been elected as a member of the Standing Committee.
ASRTI vice president and APSRTC MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, along with RTC MDs from other states, congratulated VC Sajjanar on his new role. Sajjanar expressed gratitude to all the RTCs for electing him and promised to work towards strengthening the public transport system.
The election took place at The India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The ASRTU announced that Sajjanar will lead the standing committee for the next year. He expressed his commitment to improving public transportation during his tenure as chairman.
