Dry Run of Vattem Pump Motors Successfully Completed
The Vattem pump motors at the Vattem Venkataadri Reservoir in Nagarkurnool district have successfully completed a dry run. This reservoir is a key part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Project. The trial took place on Thursday and was overseen by Penta Reddy, the Government Advisor for Irrigation, along with engineers CE G. Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, SE Satyanarayana, and EE Parthasarathy. During the process, the first pump motor was successfully made operational.
Two months ago, the pump house faced severe challenges due to heavy rains. Floodwater from the Sri Puram area auditor tunnel entered the Vattem pump house, submerging the motors. To address this issue, the state government initiated special efforts to drain the water and repair the motors, restoring them to working condition.
Now that the first motor is fully operational, work is in progress to make the remaining motors functional as soon as possible. This marks a significant step in restoring the pump house to full capacity.
