Congress leader Velichala Rajender Rao criticized BRS leaders for tapping his phone in Karimnagar on Tuesday. He stated that such actions are unacceptable in a democracy. Rao plans to file a petition in the High Court and meet with the Chief Minister and DGP to demand a thorough investigation into the phone tapping incident.
Rao also highlighted the political journey of Manakondur MLA Dr. Kavvampally Satyanarayana, who is a Dalit leader and a former doctor turned politician. Satyanarayana has faced financial losses in past elections and was targeted by BRS to disrupt his political career through phone tapping. Rao emphasized that individuals like Satyanarayana, who enter politics to serve the people, should not be subjected to such tactics.
Dr. Satyanarayana expressed disappointment over the invasion of privacy by BRS government, mentioning that even his personal conversations were compromised. He condemned the act of tapping phones of opposition leaders and real estate traders for blackmailing and financial gain. Satyanarayana also criticized ex-Chief Minister KCR and his family for engaging in such unethical practices.
As the president of the district Congress, Dr. Satyanarayana focused on strengthening the party without engaging in any illegal activities like land grabbing or sand mining. He stressed the importance of upholding democratic values and ensuring privacy rights for all individuals, regardless of their political affiliations.
