Bishop Jyanesh Encourages Compassion at Karunagiri Festival

Kurnool Bishop Jyanesh urged everyone in society to embrace divine compassion. He participated as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Karunagiri pilgrimage festival on Sunday. The event was led by Khammam Metrasanam Bishop Dr. Sagili Prakash and overseen by Karunagiri Director Father Mathewara Prasad Raju.

In his speech, Bishop Jyanesh encouraged people to treat each other with kindness and peace. He emphasized that following the teachings of Jesus would help individuals become better people. He reminded everyone that Jesus endured many hardships and worked hard to spread goodness in the world.

Khammam Metrasanam Bishop Dr. Sagili Prakash spoke about the significance of faith and spirituality. He said that the teachings of Jesus bring new hope and that divine compassion uplifts people in their lives. He also noted that thousands of devotees participated in the Karunagiri celebrations, demonstrating their strong faith.

Karunagiri Director Father Mathewara Prasad Raju highlighted the long-standing importance of the Karunagiri festivals. He mentioned that many devotees from the two Telugu states attended the celebrations, showing the shrine’s significance.

After the event, Kurnool Bishop Jyanesh was honored by Bishop Dr. Sagili Prakash, Father Mathewara Prasad Raju, and other church officials. The four-day-long Karunagiri pilgrimage festival concluded on Sunday.

The celebrations also featured dance performances by students from various schools. Additionally, winners of the kolata competitions for both men and women were awarded prizes.
