Hyderabad: Legislators to Go on Study Tour Soon
The State Legislative Council chairman, Gutha Sukender Reddy, announced on Thursday that legislators would soon embark on a study tour. This announcement was made during the conclusion of a two-day orientation programme for the legislators.
Sukender Reddy emphasized the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with national and international trends. He stated that the study tour would help legislators broaden their knowledge and improve their performance. Additionally, he mentioned that both houses of the legislature are in the process of forming various committees with the support of the government.
Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar expressed satisfaction with the success of the orientation programme. He encouraged legislators to apply the skills and insights they gained during the sessions. The programme saw participation from 17 Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) and 61 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted the benefits of the orientation programme, stating that it had equipped legislators with the tools to address public issues more effectively. He assured that similar programmes would be organized in the future. The Minister also reminded the legislators of their responsibility and the purpose of their election to the Legislative Assembly.
