UoH signs MoU with Biofactor for nano-enabled agriculture

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Biofactor to develop nanotechnology-based solutions for sustainable farming. The agreement was made by the School of Engineering Sciences & Technology at UoH.

Officials explained that this collaboration aims to improve crop productivity and precision nutrient delivery. It will also focus on creating eco-friendly nano pesticides, which can help reduce chemical use and improve resource efficiency.

The partnership will emphasize biofortification and the development of innovative nano-enabled agricultural inputs. These solutions are designed to be cost-effective and help farmers achieve higher yields.

Speaking about the collaboration, Dr. Dibakar Das from UoH said that it connects advanced material science with real-world agricultural needs. Dr. L.N. Reddy, CEO of Biofactor, added that by using nanotechnology, they hope to empower farmers and contribute to global food security.
