Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova has stated that aligning with Russia means being on the wrong side of history, and that Kyiv wants to strengthen its relationship with New Delhi. She also suggested that the Russian invasion of Ukraine holds lessons for countries with difficult neighbours. Dzhaparova said that Ukraine’s military ties with Pakistan are not directed against India’s interests and that her country is ready to build new relationships. She added that India can play a greater role in bringing peace as a global leader and current chair of the G20. Dzhaparova invited National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to visit Ukraine and said that her country is ready to share critical military technologies and expertise with India.
