Two vehicles set on fire in separate incidents in Telangana

Two vehicles were set on fire in separate incidents in Kothagudem and Khammam, causing worry among residents. Police are investigating both cases, but the reasons behind the attacks are still unknown.

In Kothagudem, a car owned by former SCCL employee and advocate GK Sampath was burned early Tuesday morning. CCTV footage showed a hooded person pouring petrol on the car and setting it on fire. The vehicle was parked in an open area near Sampath’s house in SCB Nagar, Ramavaram. By the time firefighters arrived, the car was completely destroyed. Another car nearby was also damaged in the fire. Sampath filed a complaint with the two-town police, who have started their investigation.

A similar incident happened in Khammam, where unknown individuals burned a jeep belonging to Chand Pasha in Bathupalli village, Sathupalli mandal. According to Pasha’s complaint, a group arrived in a car, poured petrol on the jeep, set it on fire, and quickly left. Police are collecting evidence and questioning locals to find out who was responsible.

These back-to-back incidents have raised concerns about safety in the area. Authorities are now checking CCTV footage and looking for possible connections between the two cases. Residents have been asked to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the police.
