Two government employees in Hyderabad arrested by ACB for corruption

Two government employees, including a Panchayat secretary, were caught by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for taking a bribe of Rs 35,000. Radhika Reddy, the Secretary of Gram Panchayat in Nanajpur village, Rangareddy district, asked for the money from Mohd Barkath Ali through Balraj, a bill collector.

The bribe was demanded in exchange for house numbers allotment and permission to build a compound wall on Barkath Ali’s property in Nanajpur, Shamshabad mandal. Following a complaint from Barkath Ali, the ACB arrested the accused officers – Radhika Reddy and Balraj. They were presented before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, and the investigation is ongoing.
