Thirteen people have died in two separate road accidents in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Seven people, including women and children, were killed when their Toofan vehicle collided with a truck on the Kadapa-Tadipatri highway. The accident occurred near Chitravati bridge in Kondapuram mandal, and eight others were injured. The victims were returning from the Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. The driver of the truck fled the scene, and the driver of the SUV was among those who died. In a separate accident on National Highway 216 near Sitaramapuram in Tallarevu mandal, six women were killed and four others injured when a private bus hit their auto-rickshaw. The women were employees of a shrimp farm returning home from work. Investigations are ongoing into both accidents.
