The Telangana State Director of Factories, B Rajagopal Rao, has said that both the central and state governments are taking special measures to prevent accidents in chemical and petrochemical industries.
A two-day seminar on industrial safety was held on Friday and Saturday. It was organised by the Department of Chemical and Petrochemical, a central government sector undertaking. The event took place at the Central Institution of Petrochemical Engineering Technology (CIPET) in the Cherlapalli industrial estate.
Rajagopal Rao attended the seminar along with Bulk Drugs Association of India Executive Director Rojarani and CIPET Head Office Director Vishal Varmala. They addressed the gathering and discussed safety measures in the industry.
During the seminar, Rajagopal Rao announced that 48 safety seminars will be conducted across the country over the next five years. The goal is to reduce accidents in major chemical and petrochemical industries.
