The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has launched nine air-conditioned sleeper buses equipped with free Wi-Fi services. These AC sleeper buses, named ‘Lahari’, are 12 metres long and have 15 lower and 15 upper berths. Passengers can charge their mobile devices and keep water bottles beside their berths. The buses are also equipped with CCTV cameras, a vehicle tracking system, a panic button, and a fire detection and alarm system (FDAS). The TSRTC has purchased 16 AC sleeper buses and plans to launch 1,300 electric buses soon. The buses will initially operate to destinations like Bengaluru, Hubbali, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Chennai.
