Senior BJP leader N Indrasena Reddy from Telangana has been appointed as the Governor of Tripura. The appointment will take effect from the dates he assumes the charge of his office, according to an official statement by President Droupadi Murmu.
Indrasena Reddy has been elected as an MLA from Malakpet Assembly Constituency for three terms. He has also served as the president of the party’s United Andhra Pradesh unit. Reddy was first elected as an MLA in 1983 at the age of 33. He was re-elected in 1985 and 1999.
During his third term as MLA, Reddy served as the floor leader in the state assembly.
