Tributes Paid to APJ Abdul Kalam on His Birth Anniversary at Retired Employees Association Building

Today, the birth anniversary of India’s 11th President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, was celebrated at the Nagarkurnool District Government Retired Employees Association building. A floral tribute was offered to his portrait, and speeches were delivered to honor his life and contributions.

Speakers shared that Dr. Abdul Kalam, born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, came from a modest background. Despite working as a paperboy during his childhood, he was deeply committed to his education. His determination and hard work helped him achieve great success in life.

Dr. Kalam’s passion for learning and remarkable intelligence led him to work at organizations like DRDO and ISRO. These contributions helped India become capable of launching satellites into space. He also played a key role in developing missiles like Agni and Prithvi, earning him the title “Missile Man” and strengthening India’s defense system.

In addition to being a brilliant scientist, Dr. Kalam was a visionary who inspired young people to “dream big and work hard to achieve their dreams.” His love for children was so great that many countries now celebrate his birthday, October 15, as World Students’ Day. This is a source of pride for all Indians.

The event was attended by district secretary Sridhar, mandal president Busi Reddy Sudhakar Reddy, secretary Yugandhar Reddy, and other members, including Pandu, Venkat Reddy, Pola Srinu, Veereshalingam, Naran Reddy, and Janaki Ramulu.
