Train Accident Narrowly Avoided as Bogies Detach from Goods Train in Hyderabad

A goods train traveling from Vijayawada to Kazipet had a major accident near K Samudram in Mahabubabad district. The link between the Goods Guard bogie and another bogie broke between K Samudram and Intikanne railway stations. This caused the Goods Guard bogie and the engine to go in one direction, while the other bogie stayed behind.

The alert guard quickly informed the loco pilot, who stopped the train after traveling a kilometer. The train then reversed, reattached the link with the separated bogies, and continued on its journey.

This incident is part of a series of train accidents happening in India recently. On June 2, three trains collided at Bahanaga Bazar Railway Station in Odisha, causing significant damage but no casualties.

The Indian Railways has launched an investigation to determine the cause of this latest accident. The reason behind the broken link between the two bogies is still unclear. However, the railways are taking measures to enhance safety across their network.
