The Congress Party has issued a warning to the government regarding the neglect of anganwadis in Rangareddy. Veerlapalli Shankar, TPCC State General Secretary, stated that Congress will support the anganwadi workers if their demands are not met. Shankar made this statement during the “Vantawarpu” agitation programme held in Shadnagar. He assured the anganwadi workers that Congress is firmly behind them and will fulfill their demands if they come to power.
Shankar criticized the KCR government for betraying the interests of lower-income groups and promised to rectify these grievances if Congress takes over. He also pledged to expose any fraudulent practices by the government against employees. Shankar warned the government that there would be consequences if they fail to support anganwadis and urged immediate action to meet their rightful demands.
The agitation programme was organized by anganwadi workers under the auspices of CITU. Several senior members of Congress, including Mohammad Ali Khan Babar, Raghu, and Raikal Srinu, were also present at the event.
