TPCC Chief Mahesh responds to KTR's letter, seeks clarity on BRS stance on Adani

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A. Mahesh has strongly criticized BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) over the party’s silence on the Adani issue. In response to a letter issued by KTR, Mahesh demanded clarity on the BRS party’s stance, accusing them of lacking the courage to speak out against Adani.

Speaking to the media, Mahesh directly challenged KTR to explain why the BRS had avoided making a statement in the Rajya Sabha about the issue. “What is BRS’s stand on Adani? They have yet to take a clear position,” he said, pointing out the party’s unwillingness to address the matter publicly.

Mahesh also emphasized Congress’s commitment to financial transparency. He highlighted that the Congress party had refunded ₹100 crore as part of its promise. “We have refunded ₹100 crore, and we stand by our commitment. There will be no hindrance to any lawful actions,” he asserted, showcasing Congress’s accountability.

Turning to the national political scenario, Mahesh brought up Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, stating that the party’s actions are firmly rooted in law and order. He questioned whether the BRS would demonstrate similar principles by taking a stand against corporate entities like Adani. According to Mahesh, the ruling party in Telangana appears reluctant to address controversial issues.

These remarks from Mahesh underline the growing tensions between Congress and BRS, particularly on critical topics such as financial accountability and corporate responsibility.
