Tomorrow, Revanth will be launching the Mahila Shakti Scheme.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to launch the Mahila Shakti Scheme in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The goal of the scheme is to help Self Help Group women become Crorepatis. The Telangana government aims to transform 63 lakh women’s group members from Lakhpatis to Crorepatis. To achieve this, new plans are being introduced for the Telangana Mahila Shakti, formerly known as IKP SHGs.

A women’s conference with SHG members will take place at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Tuesday, where the Chief Minister will launch the Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme. The government is taking measures to provide zero interest loans to members and ensure regular reimbursement of interest amounts every six months. Additionally, a special loan insurance scheme is being implemented for SHG members.

Under the scheme, if a member of a Self Help Group passes away due to an accident or natural causes, the loan taken by that member will be waived off. The government is also offering a Rs 5 lakh life insurance facility for approximately 63.86 lakh women in SHGs. Each village group will be provided with a Rs 1 crore loan, totaling Rs 5,000 crore earmarked for this purpose.

Furthermore, mini-industrial parks will be established in every Assembly constituency for aspiring women industrialists. The government is prioritizing financial empowerment, employment opportunities, and skill-based training for women. For example, SHGs will be given stitching contracts for school and police uniforms, along with sewing machine training in district and mandal headquarters. Mini solar units and sanitary napkins will also be established.

The Chief Minister will also launch the Indiramma Housing Scheme in Bhadrachalam on Monday. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries who decide to construct houses on their lands will receive Rs 5 lakh in assistance. The scheme will be implemented in phases and aims to benefit all eligible homeless individuals. The government is committed to avoiding mistakes made by the previous administration in constructing double houses, ensuring that deserving individuals receive the benefits.
