Hyderabad: Starting Tuesday, people who use the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad will have to pay higher toll fees. The company in charge of collecting the toll, IRB Infra, has increased the rates as part of its yearly price adjustment.
For cars, jeeps, and other light vehicles, the toll has gone up by 10 paise per kilometer. It has increased from ₹2.34 per km to ₹2.44 per km.
For mini-buses and small commercial vehicles, the toll now stands at ₹3.94 per km, up from the previous ₹3.77. Two-axle buses and trucks will now pay ₹7 per km, which is a rise from ₹6.69.
Heavy vehicles will see a large increase in toll charges, going from ₹5.09 to ₹15.78. These changes are based on the wholesale price index and are rounded to the nearest ₹10 to make the charges easier to understand.
