Today marks the graduation of the inaugural cohort of We Hub's 'Project Ujaagar'.

The first cohort of We Hub’s ‘Project Ujaagar’ program graduated today. The program, initiated by WE Hub and the Minority Welfare department in partnership with SAFA Society, aims to improve financial literacy for minority women-led businesses in the State.

On Wednesday, WE Hub CEO and the women entrepreneurs from the first cohort met IT Minister KT Rama Rao. Minister KTR expressed pride in recognizing these remarkable women and their potential as future entrepreneurs. Through Project Ujaagar, these successful women receive seed funding to shape the economy’s future.

The program aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the minority community’s infrastructure and create inclusive opportunities for women in Hyderabad and Telangana. Over 120 women from the minority community attended the program, and 49 women have received certificates upon completing the course. Five out of eight women have also received financial support from the Minority Welfare Department.

WE Hub CEO Deepthi Ravula stated that the program aims to tackle challenges faced by women-led businesses in Telangana, such as lack of registration, financial literacy, accounting skills, and tools. The success of the first cohort has led to plans for starting a second cohort with double the participants.
