The Supreme Court will hear a petition filed by BRS MLC Kavitha regarding the Delhi liquor scam. Kavitha has challenged the fact that she, as a woman, was called to the ED’s office and questioned in the liquor scam investigation.
Kavita’s petition will be heard by a two-judge bench consisting of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia. The Supreme Court will also consider petitions filed by Nalini Chidambaram and TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee regarding the ED investigations. The ED is expected to submit an affidavit in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, TPCP president Revanth Reddy has made sensational allegations regarding the matter. He claims that CM KCR wants Kavita to be imprisoned, believing that it will increase people’s sympathy towards her. Reddy accuses BRS and BJP of orchestrating this drama and predicts that Kavitha will be jailed before the elections.
