Hyderabad is all set for the 3rd International T-20 Cricket Match between India and Bangladesh, which will take place on October 12. The match will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, which can seat around 39,000 spectators. Officials are making sure everything runs smoothly and safely for this much-anticipated event.
To manage the large crowd expected at the night match, nearly 2,600 security personnel from different law enforcement agencies will be deployed. This includes 250 security officers, 400 traffic officials, and 1,662 law and order personnel. Additional teams from the TSSP and Armed Forces will also be present to help with security.
There will be 300 CCTV cameras set up around the stadium and nearby areas to monitor activities and ensure safety. A joint command and control room will oversee these cameras in real time, allowing officials to respond quickly if any issues arise.
Bomb disposal teams, along with sniffer dogs, will continuously perform anti-sabotage checks in the stadium and parking areas. Spectators will go through strict security checks at the entry points. Items like laptops, cameras, sharp objects, and outside food will not be allowed inside the stadium.
Special teams will be on the lookout for any anti-social behavior. Additional arrangements include provisions for the physically challenged, teams to manage vendors, and an anti-eve-teasing squad to ensure everyone enjoys the match.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has announced that there will be enough tents, chairs, and drinking water for both spectators and police officers. To control the crowd, barricades will be set up at entry and exit points, and a designated parking plan will help manage traffic around the stadium.
Metro rail services will run until 1:00 AM to help fans get home after the match. Extra ambulances and fire engines will be available to handle any medical emergencies or fire incidents.
To prevent traffic congestion, heavy goods vehicles will not be allowed near the stadium during match hours, and traffic diversions will be in place. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the gates will open at 4:00 PM to ensure a smooth entry process.
With careful planning and coordination among various agencies, Hyderabad is ready to host an exciting T-20 match while making sure fans are safe and can enjoy the event.
