The pace of GHMC monsoon works in Tolichowki, Hyderabad increases.

Hyderabad officials are working on the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) to prevent flooding during the upcoming monsoon season. The SNDP works in Tolichowki are expected to finish before the onset of monsoon. The works include constructing a box type drain in Bal Reddy Nagar, Virasat Nagar and extending nalas with box drain work in areas such as Nadeem Colony, Tolichowki and Hakeempet. Officials are monitoring the works to ensure they finish before the monsoon. The aim is to prevent inundation, which has occurred in the area for the last few years.

MLA Kausar Mohiuddin is leading the efforts to speed up the works, and the GHMC officials are regularly monitoring them to ensure free flow of rainwater during the monsoon. However, only 14 of 36 SNDP phase-I projects have been completed across GHMC limits so far.
