Telangana Pollution Control Board Sets Up Stall at Numaish to Raise Environmental Awareness
The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) has established a stall at the 84th All India Industrial Exhibition, also known as Numaish, in Hyderabad. The purpose of this stall is to educate visitors about the importance of protecting the environment.
The stall showcases a variety of informative materials on pressing environmental concerns. Topics include e-waste, plastic waste, biomedical waste, municipal solid waste, biomass burning pollution, indoor and industrial air pollution, water conservation, lake preservation, and the management of construction and demolition waste. It also highlights the role of effluent treatment plants and common effluent treatment plants in pollution control.
A senior TGPCB officer explained that the initiative is aimed at helping people understand the steps needed to reduce pollution and minimize their environmental footprint. The stall has drawn significant attention from visitors, many of whom expressed interest in learning about the board’s efforts to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the state of Telangana.
