Test Match Draws Cricket Fans to Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad

Cricket fans and people from Hyderabad are enjoying the India-England first test at the Uppal ground for three days. Even though Test cricket is not as popular as before, fans are coming to this Test match organized by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) in large numbers.

In the past, no more than 20,000 fans attended the nine Tests hosted by Hyderabad. However, since Jaganmohan Rao became the president of HCA, fans have been flocking to the Test match like they do for IPL matches.

On the first day of the game, around 24,000 people came to the stadium. The second day saw a crowd of 30,886, and on the third day, 30,598 people came to watch the match. These numbers broke the previous attendance records.

Recently, HCA allowed free entry for government and aided school students, army, navy, and air force personnel. This led to a crowded stadium due to widespread publicity about the match.

During the match, HCA president Jaganmohan Rao inspected all the stands in the ground to ensure that fans didn’t face any problems. He noticed that samosas were being sold at a high price and warned the vendor before asking him to leave. Rao also visited the stands where families of armed forces personnel were seated and checked the facilities. He ensured that they received free entry and provided them with drinking water. Rao then went to the school students and asked if they were getting free meals properly. They expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for being given the opportunity to watch the match live.

Overall, the India-England Test match in Hyderabad has attracted a large number of cricket fans, thanks to the efforts of HCA and its president Jaganmohan Rao.
