Bandi Sanjay Alleges Corruption in Telangana Congress Government

Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Monday accused the current Congress government in Telangana of running a corrupt administration. He claimed that officials and contractors need to pay a commission of 8 to 14 percent to get their bills cleared.

According to Bandi Sanjay, even some honest ministers in the Congress cabinet are frustrated with this corruption, leading to internal disagreements within the party. He expressed that the “commission racket” could potentially escalate into a major issue. The minister also alleged that Congress leaders are more focused on bribing their high command in Delhi to secure their positions rather than solving problems faced by the public.

Bandi Sanjay raised concerns about the law-and-order situation in Telangana. He said that the overall crime rate has increased by 22 percent, with crimes against women rising to 28 percent. He blamed this rise in crime on the state government’s failure to properly manage public safety and security.

When asked about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s comments that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is a “great leader,” Bandi Sanjay responded that he was unaware of Pawan Kalyan’s remarks. However, he questioned what qualities made Revanth Reddy a great leader, as crime rates have risen, and promises, including the six guarantees, remain unfulfilled.

Responding to allegations that the BJP has insulted figures like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Bandi Sanjay shifted the blame to the Congress party. He accused Congress of repeatedly disrespecting Dr. Ambedkar, pointing out that they failed to honor him with the Bharat Ratna, did not establish the Panch Teerth in his memory, and even tried to defeat him in Lok Sabha elections.

He also criticized Congress for the way it treated former Prime Ministers. He mentioned that when PV Narasimha Rao passed away, the Congress party allegedly humiliated him by refusing to conduct his funeral in Delhi. He claimed that VP Singh was also insulted in a similar manner. Regarding Manmohan Singh, Bandi Sanjay alleged that during his tenure as Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi functioned as a “super PM,” reducing Singh to a figurehead. “Manmohan Singh’s soul must be deeply pained by the Congress party’s actions,” he concluded.
