Telangana, a state deeply rooted in history and culture, has yet to finalize an official form for the Telangana Thalli (Telangana Mother) statue, an emblem of pride for its people. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar recently spoke about this at an event in the Assembly, shedding light on the need for an official representation of the state’s ethos.
Until now, all Telangana Thalli statues in existence have been linked to a specific political party, according to Minister Prabhakar. He pointed out that over the past decade, no efforts were made to create a formal, apolitical statue representing the Telangana Mother.
Prabhakar announced that this situation is about to change under the current government’s leadership. A new statue has been designed to reflect the pride and aspirations of the people of Telangana. “We have now crafted the Telangana Thalli statue that aligns with the sentiments of the state’s people,” he stated.
This new statue will soon be placed in government offices across the state. By doing so, the government aims to strengthen the connection to Telangana’s cultural identity and honor the emotions tied to its formation.
The initiative marks a new chapter in how Telangana expresses its identity and pride. The Telangana Thalli statue will serve as a unifying symbol of the state’s history, values, and collective sentiment.
