Telangana's Kanti Velugu programme screens 1.34 crore individuals

The Telangana State government has a program called Kanti Velugu to help people avoid blindness. The program has screened over 1.34 crore people so far. Out of those screened, over 19.95 lakh people were given free spectacles and medicine. There were 63,18,637 males, 71,20,703 females, and 7042 transgenders screened, and almost 99 lakh people did not have any eye problems.

The government wants to make sure no one suffers from any kind of eye problem. People need to pay attention to eye problems because different types of work pressures and lifestyle changes can cause vision loss.

District Collectors, medical and health department officials, and officials from other departments are working hard to make the program successful in all districts.
