Nagar Kurnool: Dr. K.V. Swarajyalakshmi, the district medical and health officer, talked about the importance of keeping our eyes healthy. She said that everyone should take care of their eyesight and eat a nutritious diet to avoid eye problems. On Wednesday, she opened the Telangana Vision Center in Room 102 of the old collectorate building in Nagarkurnool.
Dr. Swarajyalakshmi stressed that vision is one of the most important senses we have. She asked people to be mindful of their eye health. The new vision center will offer free eye check-ups every Wednesday and Friday. She encouraged locals to make use of these services.
For better eye health, Dr. Swarajyalakshmi suggested eating foods rich in vitamin A. During a special eye camp, ophthalmic officer Kotra Balaji examined many patients. He referred 12 people with complete vision loss and cataracts to Lion Ramireddy Eye Hospital in Mahabubnagar for free surgeries.
The event was attended by several officials, including Deputy District Medical Health Officer Dr. M. Venkatas Das, Program Officer Dr. A. Srinivasaulu, and other health staff like R. Srinivas, Narasimha, Suresh, and Sukumar Reddy. Members of the Lions Club, such as Radhakrishna, Teppa Srinivas, Chandrashekhar Reddy, Rajavardhan Reddy, Kalyan, Prakash, Kumar, and Ramesh Reddy, also participated.
