Telangana Pavilion Opens at World Economic Forum in Davos
The Telangana Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the World Economic Forum’s annual conference in Davos. The opening coincided with the inauguration of the India Pavilion at the international event.
Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, Union Minister of State for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, State IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and Kerala Industries and Law Minister P. Rajeev jointly participated in the opening ceremony.

Focus on Farmers and Sustainable Growth
During the first meeting at the Telangana Pavilion, Minister Sridhar Babu met with Tarek Sultan, the Chairman of logistics company Agility. Sridhar Babu highlighted the Telangana government’s commitment to prioritizing farmers and improving their incomes through sustainable initiatives.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who is leading the state delegation at the World Economic Forum, will participate in discussions aligned with this year’s theme, “Industries in the Intelligent Age.”

Exploring Semiconductor Investments
Minister Sridhar Babu also engaged in discussions with Su Le, the Chief Growth Officer of SambaNova, a company headquartered in Palo Alto, California. SambaNova specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms and deep learning technologies. The talks centered on potential investments in Telangana’s semiconductor industry and were described as very positive and promising.

Collaboration with Saudi Arabia
Sridhar Babu welcomed Khalid Mohammed Al-Salem, the Federal Minister and President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, at the Telangana Pavilion. The two leaders discussed opportunities for collaboration under the “Telangana Rising” vision and explored investment prospects.
His Excellency Khalid Mohammed Al-Salem expressed Saudi Arabia’s eagerness to invest in projects aligned with sustainability and long-term societal and environmental benefits.

Plans with the MTC Group
Minister Sridhar Babu also held detailed discussions with representatives of the MTC Group to expand their Hub-and-Spoke model to Telangana. The MTC Group, which has a 25% equity partnership with Mitsui Japan, discussed potential projects and plans. Efforts are now underway to identify suitable land for their investments in the state.
