Telangana Looks to Partner with Queensland for AI City and Key Projects

Telangana is planning to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI) City near Hyderabad. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu shared this news with a visiting delegation from Queensland, Australia, on Monday. He invited the Queensland government to invest in this project, emphasizing its potential for technological advancements and economic growth.

According to the Minister’s office, the Queensland team was led by Finance, Trade, Employment, and Training Minister Rosin Bates. Their discussions focused on strengthening ties between Telangana and Queensland in key sectors like education, research and development, and agriculture. Both sides explored ways to collaborate on an international level.

During the meeting, Minister Sridhar Babu also spoke about Telangana’s plans to establish a Life Sciences University and a Sports University. The Queensland representatives showed interest in forming strategic partnerships to support these initiatives.

The delegation included Queensland Trade and Investment CEO Justin McGowan, Australian Consul General in Bengaluru Hilary McGeachy, and Consul Andrea Callister. Both Telangana and Queensland agreed to explore joint initiatives that could promote innovation and knowledge exchange between the two regions.
